Engine control servo position sensor fault (B4)

If the servomotor position feedback signal goes out of range, a fault is flagged and the servomotor is
turned off.

Joystick position sensor fault (B17, B6)

In Platform Control Mode any fault related to the joystick causes a transition Neutral and a
deceleration to standstill.

Reference voltage output fault (B2)

The reference voltage is typically 4.3V and supplies current to A29, B4, B6 and B17.

2.2.12.1 Fault Codes for Analog Input Faults

· The sensor is shorted to Ground (Out of range at low

side)

51.01

· The sensor is not connected (Out of range at high

side)

Note that the first two digits identify the Analog input exhibiting the fault:

2.2.13 Indication of Faults

When a fault is detected, the E -led starts flashing.

In order to find out which fault is present, select the 'ERR' display mode by repeatedly pressing the 'M'
button on the APC160 front panel display.

The display normally shows ‘ — — ‘ to indicate there are no faults, but if one or more faults are (or have
been) detected, the most severe one is shown until you press the ‘S’ - button.

A fault that is currently present is shown with its 4-digit fault code. The leftmost digits indicate the fault
area. The rightmost digits indicate the fault type.

A flashing fault code indicates a fault that’s no longer present (typical for intermittent faults).

Faults are shown in order of severity.

If several faults coexist, pressing the ‘S’- button again selects the next fault for display.

This can be repeated until no more faults are present, at which time again the ‘ — — ‘ sign is shown.

When the ‘S’ button is released more than one second, the most severe fault is again shown.

Below table lists faults in order of severity (severest fault on top) along with possible fault type codes.
