You may check your work by monitoring the entered DTMF string. To do this,
repeat steps 1 - 4 above, then press the
key.
To send a telephone number:
1. Press the
key, then press the key. This provides a
“Short-cut” to Set Mode Item 29: DTMF MANUAL 29: DTMF MANUAL 29: DTMF MANUAL 29: DTMF MANUAL 29: DTMF MANUAL /AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO .
2. Rotate the DIAL knob to select “AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO ” (to activates the
DTMF Autodialer function).
3. Press the PTT switch to exit to normal operation and acti-
vate the DTMF Autodialer function (the “ ” icon will ap-
pear).
4. In the Autodialer function mode, first press the PTT key,
then press the numerical key ( through , and :
representing “10”) corresponding to the DTMF memory
string you wish to send. Once the string begins, you may
release the PTT key, as the transmitter will be held “on the
air” until the DTMF string is completed.
To disable the DTMF Autodialer, just repeat the above procedure, rotating the DIAL knob
to select “MANUAL
MANUAL MANUAL MANUAL MANUAL ” in step “2” above.
1) You can change the DTMF Autodialer sending speed, using Set Mode
Item 31: DTMF SPEED, see page 146 for details.
2) You can also set a longer delay between the time your transmitter is keyed
and the first DTMF digit is sent, using Set Mode Item 28: DTMF DELAY, see page 146
for details.
