The system must be equipped with a membrane tank. The delivery manifold is fitted with two

couplings designed for installation of 24-litre tanks with on-off valve. Along with the tanks,

provide a suitable manifold support. Additional floor-standing tanks may be installed and

connected to the manifold.

The construction and functional characteristics of the set comply with the provisions of fire-

fighting standard EN 12845.

3. Operation

The electric pumps are controlled by the electric panel, via a pressure switch, according to

system requirements. The diesel pump is actuated by a combustion engine.

The membrane tank and/or jockey pump, if present, serve to compensate for small system

losses.

When the pressure drops to the first start-up setting, the first pump starts. If the pressure

drops to the second start-up setting, the second pump also starts.

The pumps may only be stopped manually by operating a STOP button, with the exception of

the version for fire-hydrant networks, where the pump shuts off automatically after the

pressure has been restored for the length of time specified by the regulations locally in force.

For a description of the electric panel’s operation, please refer to the Electric Panel section.

For a description of the operation of the diesel pump and related electric panel, please refer
to the handbook provided with the diesel pump.

4. Installation

Use suitable equipment to handle the set, avoid impacts, do not use the eyebolts on the

motor for lifting purposes. Before installing the set, make sure it has not been damaged

during transportation. Install the pressure booster set in a properly ventilated room, allowing

adequate clearance (at least 0.8 m) on all sides and front for maintenance. Place the set on a
level and sturdy surface.

When installing the set, anchor it to the floor using the holes in the base, if present, or any

other system suitable for this purpose.

For installation of any accessory kits, refer to the attached instructions.
