the television on the right hand side.

4.3

SWITCHING ON AND OFF

4.3.1

Switching on in stand-by

Set the main power switch [35]

to position “I” to switch on power

light simultaneously but after about 15

seconds only the red standby LED [

emains lit. This shows that the

television is in standby mode, ready to be switched on for viewing.

4.3.2

Switching on for viewing

With the television in standby, pr

. If you press just one key

, the system waits a few

seconds to see if you press a second key

. If you do not, the televi-

sion switches on and selects the channel identified by the one num-

display nothing other than a screen of moving dots. In technical ter-

minology this is referr

ed to as ‘snow’. Snow appears when the tele-

vision is not tuned in to a channel.

There ar

mal functioning, these LED inform you of the television’s operating
