5.16 EL.MO. D VR

5.16.1 Description

Depending on the model, with the EL.MO. DVR it is possible to connect 9 or 16 input videos, which are digitised
and displayed in a composite output image.
Communication between keyboard and video unit is uni-directional and uses the RS485 “VIDEO” port.

WARNING!

For both telephone cables (both the one connected to the keyboard and the one connected to the
DVR) use the ones supplied as DCJ keyboard accessories.

5.16.2.2 Setting up th e video unit

Using the local panel on the DVR, set a baud rate consistent with that of the keyboard and set the video unit
address. It is possible to insert a password using the numeric keys on the keyboard.
WARNING! The DCJ is able to manage DVR’s from No. 1 to No. 16, while the EL.MO. protocol will associate
them with addresses between 224 and 239. It is therefore necessary to remember that the effective address of
the DVR (RS485 ID) is obtained by adding 223 to the DVR No. as recalled by the keyboard.
For example: to be able to control video unit No. 12 with the keyboard, it should be associated by the OSM with

address 235 (12 +223).

5.16.2.3 Setting up th e keyboard
