Troubleshooting
The troubleshooting table below will aid in isolating and re-
pairing a failure.

Problem Possible Cause Remedy
Coolant oil leak-
ing around
clamping band
or radiator hous-
ing. Clamping bands
not tight. Tighten slightly
with a screwdriver.
Faulty O-Ring
(front) Replace O-Ring
Faulty diaphragm
(rear) Replace dia-
phragm
Radiator Over-
heating Transmitter power
too high. Reduce transmitter
power.
Coolant level too
low. Add more coolant
to the radiator.
Accumulation of
dirt on cooling
fins. Clean the fins.
Faulty RF section
assembly. Replace the RF
section.
Incorrect power
reading. Defective diode. Return the unit
and diode to an
authorized service
facility for replace-
ment and calibra-
tion.
Loose meter cable Tighten cable con-
nector.
Switch is in the
wrong position. Place switch in the
proper position.
Diode is in the
wrong range
socket. Put diode in cor-
rect range socket.
