HAMMER ON THE UNLOADED POSITION

After firing, the hammer remains in fully lowered position. In this posi-
tion, if a cartridge is placed into the chamber in front of the hammer,
the firing pin remains in contact with the cartridge primer for all the
time the trigger is pulled (Fig.# 1). The transfer bar mechanism ensu-
res that the firing pin gets in contact with the cartridge primer only if
the hammer falls due to the activation of the trigger. When this latter
is being released, the transfer bar lowers and disengages. This pre-
vents the hammer from being in contact with the firing pin. (Fig. # 2)

HAMMER ON THE LOADING POSITION NOTCH

Pulling back the hammer in this position you will hear a net ''click''
when it engages to the loading position notch. This actually disenga-
ges the cylinder notches and allows the cylinder to rotate freely,
allowing you to load or unload the revolver. (Fig. # 3)
