Notes on safety

•Read this manual and keep it safe.

This manual contains important information on how to install and

operate the television correctly

. Read all safety related information

and all instructions before attempting to operate the television.

Always follow the instructions given in this manual.

epairs to specialist television service engineers.

Have all repair work done only by authorised television r

epair engi-

neers. Have your television checked and repair

ed by specialists if it

becomes damaged in any way, for example if the power cable or

the plug becomes damaged, if liquid enters it, if objects fall on it, if

it is exposed to rain or humidity, falls, or malfunctions.

•Only connect the television to a mains power supply of the

correct specifications.

Connect the power cable and plug to a power socket with voltage

of 230V , fr

equency of 50/60 Hz, provided with a pr

otective ground

connection. The television’s mains power plug is a thr

ee pin plug

with earth (ground) pin. Make sur

e that the power socket where you

intend to plug the television in has an efficient earth (gr

ound) con-

nection to make full use of this important safety feature. In case of

doubt, ask a qualified electrician for advice. T ake car

e to avoid over-

loading the power socket and any extension leads.

ake care to avoid damaging power cables.

Arrange power cables in such a way that they do not impede free

movement. Keep power cables out of the reach of small childr

en.

Install your television as near as possible to the wall power socket.

Do not walk or step on the power cable. Arrange it where it cannot

become entangled and get pulled. Do not expose the power cable

to heat. Make sure that it does not become tangled or bent, spe-

cially near the wall socket and television socket. If the power cable

becomes damaged in any way do not connect up or switch on the

television but contact your nearest Service Centr

e immediately.

If necessary, you can disconnect the television fr

om the mains

power supply by removing the plug fr

om the power socket. For this

reason, when installing the television, make sur

storms and extended periods of disuse.
