• Selecting sub-pages. T

eletext topics are fr

equently organised in

sub-pages. The television automatically displays these in the correct

sequence. When you enter a sequence of sub-pages, you will see a

ence, e.g. 6/18, on the screen. This shows you that you

are curr

ently viewing e.g. sub-page 6 out of a total of 18 sub-pages.

If you want to go directly to a specific sub-page without waiting for

it to appear in turn, e.g. page number 15, simply pr

ess key [15]

on

the remote contr

ol and then use the numeric keypad [2]

to enter the

4 digit number corresponding to the r

equired sub-page (in our

example enter 0 0 1 5). Repeat the procedur

e to call other sub-

pages.

• Holding a page. If you want to keep a sub-page on scr

een for a

longer time than normal, press key

emote control once.

emain displayed until you press the same key

again to release it. Pr

ess the same key again to release the page

and allow T eletext to display the next sub-page in the sequence.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

4.9.1 Pr

ogramming automatic switch-off time

This function lets you program a time in minutes after which the

television will automatically switch off and go into standby

. Y ou can

om the Other Functions

menu as fol-

lows.

oll through the menu to “Sleep Timer”. Select “On” and

then select the time after which the television must switch off: “15”,

“30”, “45”, “60”, “75”, “90”, “105” or “120”.

4.9.3 T eletext

T eletext is a text information service that some channels br

oadcast.

T eletext typically pr

ovides news on specific issues. T eletext informa-

tion is typically divided into topic ‘pages’ (individual screens), each

identified by a 3 digit number . Pages can sometimes contain ‘sub-

pages’. One page (normally page 100) contains the table of con-

tents showing the page numbers on which all the topics are found.

follows to consult the service.

NOTE: T

eletext is organised in dif

ferent ways by each channel.

Some of the consultation methods described below may not there-

fore apply to the T

eletext service of the channel you are watching.

The television image disappears and is replaced by the table of con-

tents screen of the channel’

emote control to continue viewing the televi-

ed without the television image.
