8.2 KEYS FUNCTIONS

• PRIORITY key

Such key allows the operator to force the communication towards the customer disabling automatically the

external microphone.

In this case the front-office personnel channel is active whilst the customer channel is disable .

Very useful option when the operator must speak for a while.

• SPEAK + 3 Db Key

Such key allow to increase temporarily the volume toward customer side. Such device is very useful when

the customers zone is subject to background noise or because there could be customers of deafness

inconveniences.

• PA CALL key

Such key allows the operator call station to send audio signal towards an external zone- for example to the

main public address system . In this case the Interphone system is used as a simple microphone desk for calls

and announcements.

When there is no Public address system such PA CALL key is not used.

When INCOM unit is powered on , the system is set automatically on full-duplex operating mode, for such
operating mode both customer/operator audio channels are active; The customer and operator can communicate
alternatively throughout a normal oral information exchange. The ANTILARSEN device is active.
The operator can always force the communication towards the customer applying to PRIORITY key, half-duplex
operating mode

9. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS- CONNECTIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS

9.1 CUSTOMER SIDE AND MICROPHONE POSITION

The directional electret microphone must be set possibly in the middle of the glass counter. To be confront

the customer. Such position ensures the most efficient speech quality. fig. 3

9.2 CUSTOMER SIDE- LOUDSPEAKER POSITION

To avoid larsen effects the loudspeaker position must be carefully studied.

n fact the loudspeaker must be set close to the microphone. But the loudspeaker position should

be studied to avoid to the microphone the loudspeaker irradiation cone effects fig.4.
