CAUTION! Never use high-pressure cleaners for cleaning the wooden tiles.

2. Oiling: Oiling or staining the wooden tiles should be done before installation.

It can also be performed after installation of the wooden tiles, but certainly not

at a later time. Let the wooden tiles dry well afterwards. Use acacia wood oil

or stain or pigmented oil or stain suitable for outdoor use and with high UV

protection features. Make sure to treat both the surface and the lateral edges

of the wooden tiles. Observe the information provided on the packaging of

the wood care product. This will ensure that even heavily stressed wooden tiles

keep a good appearance over time.

If it is not possible to remove spots, discolorations or elution, sand off the

surface of the wooden tiles with abrasive paper and apply a protective layer.

Please note that natural wear of the wooden tiles cannot be prevented

completely, especially when the wooden tiles are installed in unprotected

areas outdoors.

3. Drying: Do not step on the wooden tiles for approx. 48 hours after

treatment. The time can vary depending on the care product used. Make also

sure to observe the manufacturer’s instructions.

If you prefer the natural, weathered colour of the wood, treatment is not

necessary. Such changes will not affect the durability of the wooden tiles.

Wooden Tiles

Mount the tiles only on a firm, level surface such as concrete, ceramic tiles, cement

flooring, asphalt or similar. Make sure that the area has a drainage to avoid great

accumulation of water.

NOTE! The wooden tiles are only pre-oiled. They cannot be installed in

unprotected outdoor areas without prior treatment. Since the acacia wood used

contains natural colour pigments, elution can be caused at the beginning, for

example by rain. In order to avoid any discolorations of the subsurface, you should

wash the wooden tiles with clear water and let them dry before installation.

Treat the wooden tiles with suitable care products before or directly after

installation. Suitable wood care products are available in specialist shops.

Read the care instructions before installation!

P Care and treatment

Acacia wood is a hardwood and quite resistant against environmental impacts

and adverse weather conditions. Even untreated it will last for many years. It will

however become grey over time if left untreated, especially wooden tiles that are

exposed to environmental impacts and adverse weather conditions all year long.

To avoid that, use resistant hard wood oils or wood stain intended for outdoor use,

which are to be applied on a regular basis. This, however, cannot be done at a

later time.

CLEANING

1. Pretreatment: Clean the wooden tiles with mild soapy water.

Although acacia wood is quite resistant to water, it is recommended to use little

water and to apply it to a smaller rather than a big area. Let the wooden tiles

dry well afterwards.
