INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS FOR CORRECT AND SAFE USE
CAREFULLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS IN THIS MANUAL AND KEEP THEM FOR
FUTURE REFERENCE FOR ENTIRE PRODUCT LIFE. THEY SUPPLY IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
REGARDING OPERATIONS AND SAFETY FOR PRODUCT INSTALLATION, USE AND MAINTENANCE.
1. After unpacking, make sure that the appliance is intact with no signs of damage caused by transport. Should you have any
doubts, do not use the appliance and take it to an authorised IMETEC Service Centre.
2. This appliance must only be used for the purpose for which it has been designed, that is, as kitchen scales for home use. Any
other use is to be considered improper and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any damage
due to improper or incorrect use.
3. Do not immerse the scales in water and avoid any water or other liquids from entering the appliance.
4. To guarantee maximum precision place the appliance on a perfectly horizontal and stable surface.
5. Some environmental interferences such as vibrations, electromagnetic fields (for example a connected microwave oven) can
compromise the precision of the weighing process. It is recommended to place the appliance at a due distance from these
sources of disturbance.
6. The batteries contain hazardous and polluting substances that are indicated by these abbreviations: Pb indicates a battery that
contains Lead; Cd indicates a battery that contains Cadmium; Hg indicates a battery that contains Mercury. Flat batteries should
be separated from other waste and disposed of in special containers or at refuse collection points.
7. Should the appliance break down and/or not work properly, turn it off and do not tamper with it. If it needs repairing, take it to an
authorised IMETEC Service Centre.
8. This appliance should not be used by children or persons with partially reduced physical, sensorial or mental faculties, and in
any case not without specific knowledge and experience, or without the supervision or instructions for use provided by a
responsible person.
9. Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance.
